Welcome to the Office of Financial Aid!
Our goal is to provide assistance to any UB student who seeks assistance in obtaining funding to finance their educational cost. We believe that all students should develop a spending plan and make wise decisions before borrowing any money to finance their education.
UB offers a range of financial aid and payment options so that all students may benefit from a UB education. Financial aid can come in the form of grants, work, student loans, parent loans, scholarships and other awards.
The UB financial aid programs have been developed to help students who have academic potential and limited financial resources. The programs are specifically directed at helping those students who would not be able to complete their education without support. Approximately 80 percent of UB students receive assistance through our office.
Students are awarded an aid package based on their financial need as determined by the FAFSA data and the cost of attendance for their program. Students are considered for federal grants/loans, institutional grants/scholarships, and federal work study. Students are strongly encouraged to complete and have their FAFSA processed no later than March 1 annually for priority consideration for institutional aid. The school code for all UB programs is 002102.
Disclaimer: The Office of Financial Aid reserves the right to reduce or cancel awards based on funding levels, change in enrollment, reduction in costs, etc.
